What To Expect From The Cardano Visil Hardfork:

The Cardano network few hours ago just upgraded their network with a visil upgrade. You might be wondering what it means and the development it'll bring to the Cardano network, well you're in the right place, let's break it down together.

What Is A Cardano Visil Hardfork Upgrade?

The Cardano Visil Hardfork is simply an upgrade from the previous network capacity to a greater network capacity.

What development will it bring to the Cardano network?

The Cardano network upgrade brings about 2 forms of development, first for investors, while the second one is for developers. I'll be breaking down the two;

For Investors:

•Transaction Fees: The Vasil upgrade will bring about a decrease in transaction fees which will increase the networks throughput.

•Decentralised Applications: Following the Cardano chain, there has been a repeating scalability issue with Cardanos DApps, but with the success of the Hardfork, it'll cause a massive scalability improvement in the DApps.

•Transaction Per Second (TPS): The success of the fork will allow access to developers who wish to store information without the use of output, hereby giving a room to the increase in TPS.

•Optimized Security: Vasil uses an ouroboros' Verifiable Random Function (VRF) process which will bring about an optimized security and faster block validation.

For Developers

•Reference Inputs(CIP-31): The upgrade will allow data sharing on-chain. This allows access to information stored on the chain without re-creating and spending UTXOs.

•Inline Datums (CIP-32): Developers can now create scripts and attach Datums directly to the output instead of using their hashes.

•Reference Scripts(CIP-33): The reference scripts now allows for developers to reference a script without including it in each transaction,significally reducing transaction size,improves throughput and reduces script execution cost.

•Datums and Redeemer: Developers now have that ability to see redeemers for all inputs rather than just the one being passed to the currently executing script.

•Data Serialization Primitive (CIP-42): This reduces the overall memory and CPU costs allowing for more efficient way of data serialization.

The upgrade brings about a more efficient space for builders/developers on the Cardano chain and more reasons for investors to invest. Will this bring about a positive change on price of Cardano and the chain at large?
